EXCELLENCE INNOVATION
INTEGRITY

HISTORY
I began my law enforcement career with
the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I was among the first "Field
Investigator's" in the
county and painstakingly worked my way into the detective ranks, in
property crimes.
My heart was set on the "Homicide Division" but learned that dues
had to first be paid working "Pots
and Pan's."
I longed for the action of the streets and returned
to patrol division where I further developed my field investigative
skills, to include accident
investigations and crime scene investigation. After receiving the
first-ever award, in the sheriff's department, for Officer of
the Year, and a second for Valor, I knew I reached my pinnacle as
a deputy.
In 1980 I found myself in Santa Fe, New Mexico,
competing for a position with the prestigious New Mexico State Police, in their academy.
We started with 48 individuals and graduated as a group of 22. I worked various assignments in
northern New Mexico, which included several mountain
towns that dotted the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. After several
good years of working
in environments where I was the only officer for many miles in all
directions, I was looking
at a mandatory transfer to the Albuquerque district and decided to
leave for federal employment at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
In 1989 I became licensed, as a private
investigator, by the State of New Mexico and have been busy ever since. My experiences have
allowed me to work with some of the most incredible attorney's in the country. I am
especially proud of my involvment in the matter of the United States vs. Wen Ho Lee; a Los Alamos
scientist who was falsely accused of being a spy.
As I continue to progress through my investigations
practice I am constantly reminded that you can teach an old dog new
tricks, by some of the upstart young attorney's. In my spare time I find my self writing two novels; one that documents many of my exploits, and another that
challenges my imagination every time I put pen-to-paper so to speak. At the strong
encouragement of a local attorney who also writes movie scripts, and novels, I have ventured
into the realm of "Script Analyst/Consultant" and am listed with the New Mexico Film Office to
advise film producers on matters of private investigations, as related to my areas of
expertise.
If at some time our paths cross I'll buy you a cup
of coffee and we can talk about fishing... but if you prefer to go fishing, then let's meet in
Costa Rica where we'll have a good time on my son's boat!
